Krakow Town Square at Night

I took a side trip to visit friends in Southern Poland this past weekend. I have been to Krakow many times in the last few years so now I don't always remember to take pictures. I took these early on a clear but cold Saturday night of the town square in Krakow. One of the prettiest places in Poland. In the past 4 years I have visited Krakow at least once a year and it had always been full of renovation work so this is the first time with no work... a nice complete beautiful square. Big building in the middle is the famous market building. Was really cold out, near -1c or something so not any people hanging out on the square like in summer.

Out of Praha - Olomouc and Brno

Olomouc. Not sure what this represents but caught it with good lights... still -1c out.

Travel Money Tells a Story of It's Own

Going through my gear this weekend. Just in the past year all the different types of currency I have used.... in a way a map of my travels in 2010... Zloty (Poland), Lei (Romania), Floren (Hungary), Euro, Swiss Franks, and dollars.... many places absent but does tell a little story to me anyway. And since I still have it that I hope to return....

Prague Hockey and its special ways.

This past Friday I went to a Hockey game. Only my 2nd game ever and first in a Europe league. Here are some pictures of the unusual and entertaining aspects of hockey at the city city league level.

You have to have your colors.... this case Sparta. And a cup of good beer.

Fans are at ends like at NFL games. Sparta fans near our seats. Very rabbid.

And the oddest thing... twice a period girls come out in little skits to sweep the ice in the goal area at both ends. Not sure they do much but they are entertaining.

Escalators rides can be long. Last stop for school this chilly Friday morning after two weeks of class.

My first Prague snow

Snowing overnight in Prague. Lite snow fell last night and took this picture on the way to metro this morning before the snow melts.

Foggy Moon

Moon over central Prague. I like taking pictures down at W square as I head home in the evenings. This moon caught my eye.

Walking tour of Prague

These pictures are from short walking tour that our class took today. As my 4th trip to Prague only took a few snaps. Monuments, beer, and food. As you can see snow has gone but still quite cold.

Church Praha 3
